After the display notch, it seems like phone makers now find a new trend to make their phones and it is going hole-free which means the phone will have no physical button or port. Yesterday, Meizu silently launched its Meizu Zero with the hole-free design, and now Vivo also unveils its Vivo Apex 2019 with a similar design. Like the previous Vivo Apex, this new handset is much better than its peers when it comes to technology and design.

The new Vivo Apex 2019 comes with an interesting design, and it also comes with a glass unibody design with rounded corners and curved edges. The hole-free design is still the most significant highlight of the phone. It doesn't have any physical hole or port like charging port, headphone jack, power button or volume rockers.

We have already seen many phone makers dropping the headphone jack, but now Vivo wants to take a further step by getting rid of the selfie camera and USB port as well. In terms of camera, the phone still has a dual rear camera system.

As for charging the phone, Vivo uses magnetics pins on the rear for connecting an included magnetic charger. As the phone has no hole, it will not come with any speaker grill, and Vivo also adopts a liquid cooling pipe internally for better heat dispersion. The Chinese company also removes all of the physical buttons and replace them with capacitive buttons and pressure sensors.
Vivo APEX 2019: Specifications & Features
Besides the unique design, this new handset is also a strong contender in the flagship segment when it comes to hardware specifications. It sports a 6.39-inch display with a really thin bottom bezel. The phone is also powered by the top-of-the-line Snapdragon 855 SoC, coupled with a massive 12GB RAM and 512GB storage.

Vivo also uses a very advanced fingerprint scanner on its Apex 2019. While other phones require users to place their fingerprint at a particular place to unlock the phone, the Apex 2019 is now equipped with a full-screen fingerprint sensor.

In terms of software, the handset is expected to run Android 9 Pie with FunTouch OS 5 on top. It will come in a total of three colour options including Strontium Lime, Mica White, and Titanium Silver.
