China-based Coolpad has just added a new offering in its range of phones in the Indian market by releasing the new Cool 3 Plus. The handset arrives as a successor to the Cool 3 that launched earlier in the year. Similar to its predecessor, the new Cool 3 Plus is also a budget handset with a water-drop notch display. Aside from the Cool 3 Plus, the company also announces a new model of the Cool 3 with more RAM and internal storage.

Cool 3 Plus: Availability & Price
The base variant with 2GB of RAM will be retailed at Rs. 5,999, while you will have to pay Rs. 6,499 for the variant with 3GB of RAM. It is slated to be available for sale via Amazon.in from 2 July.
As mentioned, the Cool 3 is also announced to come in a new model with 4GB of RAM, which is available for sale for Rs. 7,999 from August.
Cool 3 Plus: Specifications & Features

The handset comes with a 5.71-inch screen with HD+ resolution. There is a water-drop notch on top of the phone for housing a selfie camera. In terms of design, it has thin bezels on its sides and a slim chin at the bottom. Performance-wise, it is driven by an Helio A22 octa-core processor. There are two memory configurations, including 2GB RAM / 16GB of storage and 3GB RAM / 32GB of storage. For software, it ships with Android 9.0 Pie at launch. For security, it supports a fingerprint scanner mounted on the rear and Face Unlock feature.

In terms of camera, the new Cool 3 Plus sports a single 13MP AI-powered camera which is somewhat disappointing since its predecessor is equipped with a dual rear camera setup. Up front, there is an 8MP shooter for taking selfies and video chats. Its connectivity options include dual-SIM slots, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, A-GPS, and Bluetooth. Finally, it is fueled by a 3,000 mAh battery.
