Customers now have a lot more choices in smartphones regarding colors, material, and finish as well. Some people would want their phones to be durable, and some prefer their phones to be good looking.
Chinese phone makers are not the only ones that have opted for gradient or brighter colours in their phones, even other big phone makers like Samsung and Apple have also followed this trend on their latest smartphones. Below are some of the colourful devices that are available in the Indian market.
iPhone XR
The latest Apple’s iPhone model comes with more color options in comparison with its higher models, iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max. Customers have six choices in color for the device which are Black, Yellow, White, Coral, Red, and Blue. A long time after the iPhone 5C, Apple finally offers more color options for its device.
The iPhone XR is pretty much just a toned down version of the premium iPhone XS with LCD screen. The phone features one rear camera with lower storage options of 64/128/256GB.
The lowest storage variant costs Rs. 76,900 while the 128GB and 256GB of storage variants cost Rs. 81,999 and 91,900, respectively. You can buy the iPhone XR in Flipkart or Apple authorised retailers.

Honor 8X Red Edition
Honor just launched its Honor 8X in the Indian market with a starting price of Rs. 14,999. Along with three colour options of Black, Navy Blue, and Blue, the Honor 8X also comes with a Red color variant with only 4GB of RAM/64GB of internal storage with a price of Rs. 14,999. You can buy the phone in Amazon India from 28 November.
The latest Honor phone offers a premium feel and looks with the glass back with a two-tone finish. The other two variants of 6GB RAM/64GB storage and 6GB RAM/128GB storage have the prices of Rs. 16,999 and 18,999, respectively.
This phone features a 6.5-inch FullHD+ display with a notch on the top for sensors, front camera, and earpiece. The smartphone is powered by a 3,750 mAh battery with Android 8.1 Oreo and EMUI 8.2 on top. It also supports dual SIM with the option of expanding storage via microSD slot.
OnePlus 6T Thunder Purple
The OnePlus 6T Thunder Purple is the latest phone of OnePlus. Price of this phone has been kept the same as other color variants at Rs. 41,999. Other color options including the Mirror Black and Midnight Black.
In terms of specs, this Thunder Purple variant will only come with a single variant of 8GB of RAM/128GB of inbuilt storage. Beside that, this variant will have the same hardware specs with other options of the OnePlus 6T.
Samsung Galaxy Note 9 Lavender Purple
Last month, Samsung just launched just launched the Lavender Purple variant of its Galaxy Note 9 in India. This variant was already announced at the global launch of the Note 9 in August. The Samsung flagship also come in Ocean Blue, Metallic Copper, and Midnight Black variants in the Indian market.
Similar to the Galaxy S9, people who are interested can also buy this Lavender Purple Galaxy Note 9 in some select physical stores, Samsung Shop and online portals.
Samsung Galaxy S9+ Burgundy Red
The latest flagship of Samsung, the Galaxy S9, already has a quite stylish look and now Samsung also just brought another stunning variant with Burgundy Red color to the Indian market. This color was already revealed in May for both Galaxy S9 and S9+ devices.
With this addition, the Galaxy S9 Plus now has a total of five color variants in the Indian market. Other color options include Sunrise Gold, Lilac Purple, Coral Blue, and Midnight Black. If you want to buy this specific color option, you can come to Samsung Shop and some selected physical stores, or online portals.
Vivo V11 Pro Starry Night
One of the gradient color variant of the Vivo V11 called “Starry Night Black” currently costs Rs. 25,990 and it is available in many online platforms. You can buy it from many platforms like Amazon India, Paytm, Snapdeal or Flipkart or simply go to the e-store of Vivo. The device is also available in all of the physical stores of Vivo in India.
The Vivo V11 Pro features a 6.41-inch screen with 1080x2340 resolution and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9 along with a waterdrop notch. It’s powered by a Snapdragon 660 SoC along with an Adreno 512 GPU and 6GB RAM/64 or 128GB inbuilt storage. Vivo V11 Pro owners can take selfies with a 25MP camera that can record video at 1080p.
Huawei P20 Pro
The latest flagship of Huawei is currently priced at Rs. 64,999, only available in Amazon India. This Huawei P20 Pro is probably the first phone that has gradient color options and triple-rear camera setup.
The gradient color variant of the phone called ‘Twilight’ is probably the one that caught the most attention during its launch event in March. The phone was released in the Indian market in April and is available at a lower price in online platforms. The other color options are Midnight Blue and Graphite Black.
For camera aspect, the phone features a triple camera setup with an 8MP sensor along with 20MP monochrome sensor and 40MP RGB sensor. It’s powered by Kirin 970 SoC and 6GB RAM/128GB of internal storage.
Realme 2 Diamond Blue and Diamond Red
Both color options of the Realme 2, Diamond Red and Diamon Black can be considered as colour successor of the Realme 1 Diamond Black, which also looked pretty distinctive. These phones are also available in Flipkart for online purchase, but you can also come to offline MyJio and Reliance Digital stores to buy it as well.
The Realme 2 comes with a starting price of Rs. 8,990 for the base variant of 3GB of RAM/32GB of storage while the higher variant of 4GB of RAM/64GB of storage costs Rs. 10,990. It features a 6.2-inch HD+ IPS display with 720x1520 resolution and an aspect ratio of 19:9 and also a notch. This Realme handset is powered by the Snapdragon 450 SoC and comes with a fingerprint scanner, a microSD slot for expanding the storage.
Huawei Nova 3, Nova 3i Iris Purple
Along with the flagship Huawei P20 Pro, Huawei also just launched two new phones in the Indian market - Nova 3 and Nova 3i in July. Both of the smartphones have an identical design, but they are set to compete at the upper-mid range segment.
Both of them come in a stylish Iris Purple colour with glass back, and the phone looks very similar to the Twilight colour of the P20 Pro. The Black and Iris Purple color options of the Nova 3i are currently available in an ope sale on Amazon India. It’s powered by the Kirin 710 SoC along with 4GB RAM/128GB storage.
The Purple color variant of the Nova 3 is also available in Amazon India with the price of Rs. 34,999. It comes with a Kirin 970 SoC along with 6GB RAM/128GB storage.
