The upcoming Xperia XA3 Ultra from Sony is tipped to be officially debuted in CES (Consumer Technology Association) 2019. And the event is just two weeks away from opening, quite a few details of this mid-range Sony smartphone has just been surfaced on the Internet.
CAD-based renders of the upcoming Sony Xperia XA3 Ultra
As tipped in the report from DroidShout, Sony will set the price of the Xperia XA3 Ultra at €519 in Europe. This translates into Rs. 41,600 or $595 and that is a quite significant increase over the existing Xperia XA2 Ultra which was priced €449 (around Rs. 36,000) when launched. However, this increase in price may be justified by the improvements in the specs of this upcoming model.
While its predecessor, the Xperia XA2 Ultra is powered by the Snapdragon 630 SoC, the Xperia XA3 will most likely come packed with a Snapdragon 660 processor or even a Snapdragon 670 processor, since both of these are available. Both of these two chipsets are a lot more powerful than the current Snapdragon 630 SoC used on the XA2 Ultra while still remaining energy-efficient.
Besides the processor, the phone should be packed with 6GB RAM and run Android 9.0 Pie out of the box. Previous leaked renders also suggested that the phone would feature a dual camera setup on the rear.
The XA3 Ultra will have a dual rear camera setup and an LED flash on top
The phone is also expected to sport a taller display with 6.5 inches in size, no notch and an aspect ratio of 18.5:9. The device’s build will likely be based in aluminum, and its rear design will also be significantly different. This upcoming phone is said to come in three color options, including Gold, Silver, and Black. It should be up for sale in February along with the launch of Xperia L3 and Xperia XA3, both of which will be available in the European markets.
