Samsung Galaxy Z Flip Revealed To Pack Snapdragon 855, Android 10, 8GB RAM

Nearly a week from now, Samsung will announce the Galaxy S20 series and foldable Galaxy Z Flip at its Unpacked 2020 event. Recently leaked renders revealed that the phone will feature a clamshell design in Purple color finish. In addition, the handset is also said to come with a Snapdragon 855 chipset and a 6.7-inch Flexible AMOLED display. Now, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip has passed through the benchmarking platform Geekbench with 8GB of RAM and Android 10. It scored 725 points in the single-core test and 2,610 points in the multi-core test.

In terms of design, the Galaxy Z Flip has been revealed to come with a similar design to the Motorola Razr. However, instead of a wide notch like the Motorola counterpart, the Z Flip will have a center-aligned punch-hole to house a selfie camera. Its screen is also said to support HDR10+ and is protected by Gorilla Glass 6. Around the back, it is also equipped with a 1.06-inch display that can display time and notifications. On the right side, there will be a volume rocker and a fingerprint sensor. At the bottom, we expect to see a speaker grille and a USB Type-C port.

Here are all the specifications of the Galaxy Z Flip that we have known so far. It is said to flaunt a 6.7-inch Flexible AMOLED panel that supports HDR10+. Powering the device will be a Snapdragon 855 chipset, paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. In terms of camera, it could have a 12MP main sensor and a 12MP ultra-wide-angle camera at the back and a 10MP camera on the front for video calls and selfies.

Under the hood, there might a two-piece battery that has a capacity of 3,300 mAh and supports 15W rapid charging and 9W wireless charging.
