A commercial of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Flip was aired at the Oscar 2020 event ahead of its official launch on 11 February.

Samsung will hold the Unpacked event on February 11 to announce the Samsung Galaxy S20, S20 +, S20 Ultra and a foldable smartphone called Samsung Galaxy Z Flip. Just before the event, Samsung aired a promotional video for the Galaxy Z Flip, right at the Oscar 2020 event.

The promotional video basically confirms the rumors about the Galaxy Z Flip, while revealing nearly every angle of the upcoming device. In the promotional video, the Galaxy Z Flip is placed on a table at a 90-degree angle, which is very useful when chatting with video calls.

The Galaxy Z Flip's hinge, when folded, is not completely flat but leaves a gap. Another foldable smartphone with the same clamshell design, the Motorola Razr has just been sold but has already encountered a lot of bugs and problems with the screen and the interesting thing is that the Motorola Razr hinge folds completely flat.

In a small print for the handset’s ad, Samsung said that “you may notice a small crease in the center of the main screen, which is a natural characteristic of the screen.” So the answer to the previous question is that the Galaxy Z Flip will also have a crease just like the Galaxy Fold. This smartphone has not yet been equipped with the ultra-thin glass, as previous leaks suggested.

We can also see the secondary screen on the outside of the Galaxy Z Flip, which is quite small but still full color. This secondary screen can display the name of the incoming caller, and also has a slider for you to accept or reject the call, without opening the screen.

Finally, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip is confirmed to debut at the Unpacked event, which will take place on 11 February.
