The Samsung Galaxy S20 Lite with Snapdragon 865 SoC could make its debut in October this year.

Samsung announced its Galaxy S20 series back in February this year and the new product line includes three models. They are Galaxy S20, S20 Plus, and S20 Ultra, all of which are offered at premium prices, which could be a bit out of reach for many customers. That might be the reason why Samsung decided to release two Lite version of its flagships called Galaxy S10 Lite and Galaxy Note 10 Lite early this year. It seems like the South Korean phone maker will continue to use the same strategy as it is reportedly working on an affordable model of the Galaxy S20 called Galaxy S20 Lite.

The Samsung Galaxy S20 Lite will reportedly be launched in October this year.

Earlier this month, the Samsung Galaxy S20 Lite was said to come with an S-Pen stylus, OneUI 2.5, Snapdragon 865 SoC, and launch in October. Now, the handset has just made its appearance on Geekbench with key specs revealed as usual. According to the listing, the upcoming Galaxy S20 Lite will come with a Qualcomm chipset with a 1.8GHz base frequency. The chipset is codenamed as ‘kona’, which is the same codename for the Snapdragon 865. It is also listed with Android 10 and 6GB RAM. In the single and multi-core tests, the phone scored 737 and 2,619 points, respectively. And these are all we got from the Geekbench listing, but there should be more coming soon.

On another note, Samsung is preparing to launch the Galaxy Note 20 series on 5th August alongside a new foldable smartphone called Galaxy Z Flip 5G. Earlier reports suggested that the brand might also release Galaxy Fold 2, but the latest reports believe that the model’s launch is delayed until further notice.
