Samsung Galaxy S10 Series Accounts For 75 Percent Market Share In India In March

Samsung claims that 75 percent of the total premium smartphone shipments in India in March were Galaxy S10 smartphones.

Samsung announces that 3 out of 4 premium smartphone shipments in India in March are its Galaxy S10 smartphones, according to GfK. Premium handsets are the devices with the prices from Rs. 30,000.

In a media press release, Samsung claimed that its latest flagship smartphones took up 76.5% market share in volume and 77% market share in value in March. Also according to the Gfk data, Samsung said it held 68.9% market share in volume and 65.9% market share in value for the period from Jan to Mar 2019.
As per Samsung India’s Director of Mobile Business, Aditya Babbar, with the Galaxy S10 series brought an amazing experience to its users, which meets their daily needs. The top-of-the-line features of Samsung flagships have been very well-received by many customers. Therefore, it is obvious for Samsung to hold the no.1 spot in the high-end smartphone segment. In addition, the Director also gave his thanks to all the fans of Samsung.

It is known that this latest Galaxy S10 series includes three variants in the Indian market, which includes the base Galaxy S10, the Galaxy S10+, and the Galaxy S10e. The Galaxy S10 and S10+ sport a 6.1-inch curved display and a 6.4-inch screen respectively, while the cheaper Galaxy S10e smartphone comes with a 5.8-inch flat screen. In terms of camera, the Galaxy S10e is equipped with a dual rear camera setup and a selfie camera. Meanwhile, the Galaxy S10 features a triple rear camera setup with a selfie sensor on the front, and the S10+ has triple rear cameras in addition to a dual selfie camera setup. These three smartphones are all powered by Exynos 9820 chipset in coordination with up to 12GB RAM.
Additionally, Samsung has launched a promotion program recently, which offers discounts for all three handsets in the series in the Indian market, alongside the cashback program. Accordingly, the cheaper Galaxy S10e has the starting price of Rs. 46,900 in India while the Galaxy S10 and S10+ carries have respective price tags of Rs. 57,900 and Rs. 58,900.
