The Samsung Galaxy A90 will still launch under the Galaxy A series and it is tipped to feature a Snapdragon 855 SoC and “Tilt” OIS.

Last week, the long-rumored Galaxy A90 was claimed in a report to be going to launch under the brand new Samsung Galaxy R series. However, it appears that that news was raised from a misunderstanding. Basically, several sources confused its marketing names with its internal codenames.

So, the Samsung Galaxy A90 will still make its debut under the original name under the Galaxy A series. Samsung is reportedly working on the phone and it might be coming out soon. Now, a new piece of information about the phone just surfaced online.

It will come in two versions. The first version with model number SM-A905 will support 4G connectivity with a massive 6.7-inch display, an on-screen fingerprint reader, and a triple camera system at the back, including a 48MP + 5MP + 12MP cameras. The device is also tipped to come with an exclusive feature dubbed “Tilt OIS”.

Meanwhile, the other version with model number SM-A908 will support 5G connectivity, the same 6.7-inch display with an under-display fingerprint sensor. However, the phone will have a slightly toned-down triple camera setup on the rear, including a 48MP + 5MP + 8MP.

If this news is to be believed, the Galaxy A80 will soon no longer be the top-end phone in the Galaxy A series

Moreover, both versions will most likely be driven by a Snapdragon 855 SoC and that will make it the first Samsung Galaxy A phone to come with the top-of-the-line Qualcomm SoC. If this news is to be believed, the Galaxy A90 might be launched as an affordable flagship and take on the likes of OnePlus 7, Asus 6Z, Redmi K20 Pro, and more.
