Just a few months ago, the Samsung Galaxy A80, which we had thought to carry the name Galaxy A90, made its debut with a flip camera and we thought it would be the top-end model in the series. However, even after the Galaxy A80 went official, there have still been rumours around the Galaxy A90, except this will surely be a different handset.
However, the Galaxy A90 might not be launched under that name after all, but Samsung is tipped to launch a brand new Galaxy R series, in which the A90 will be the first phone in the Galaxy A series to come out. The A90 is rumored to carry the model number of SM-A90x.
There could be one more device launched alongside the A90, and both of them are said to feature a triple rear camera setup at the back and massive screens. One of them should support the 5G network while the other phone is tipped to feature a unique camera feature. Unfortunately, this is all we got about the two upcoming phones at the moment. It would be interesting to see which direction Samsung will go for with this new series. It has been getting quite a lot of success with the revamped Galaxy A series and the brand-new Galaxy M series.
Another report claims that the upcoming A90 will support 45W fast charging which is almost two times higher wattage compared to the current fastest solution on any Samsung phone (25W). It is even three times higher than the number of watts that the South Korean phone makers are currently using on its latest flagship Galaxy S10 series (except for the Galaxy S10 5G) so it would be a massive jump if this news is true. Another phone that is rumored to come with the same charging standard is the upcoming Galaxy Note 10 Pro that will likely make its debut in August this year.
