Samsung Galaxy A80 To Launch In India On 15 June, To Be Priced From Rs. 39,990

In April, the South Korean phone maker Samsung announced the latest offering in its Galaxy A series, the Galaxy A80. The handset is the first phone in the series to come with a full-screen display. Shortly after the official announcement, an executive at Samsung India revealed the handset will soon be available in India in May, but that did not happen. Now, the company will reportedly bring the phone to the country sometime in mid-June.

Galaxy A80: Expected Launch Date & Price In India
According to the source, the Galaxy A80 will make its debut in the Indian market at a launch event on 15 June. The device will go on sale in two options at Rs. 39,990 and Rs. 44,990, respectively. Its memory configurations remain unknown for now. However, it was launched in Thailand in a single variant with 8GB RAM + 128GB of storage, and it is priced at around Rs. 50,000.

There is also a listing for the Galaxy A80 in Samsung India’s website, revealing features and specifications. It means that the launch of the phone is not far away. Users can also go to the “Notify Me” page to get notifications about its launch.
Galaxy A80: Specifications

The major highlight of the Galaxy A80 is, of course, its triple rear camera setup that can rotate and work as the selfie shooter. The handset comes with a glass rear panel and a metal frame. On the front, it sports a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED panel with a 20:9 aspect ratio. Powering the phone is a Snapdragon 730G processor paired with 8GB of RAM + 128GB of storage and one more option which is unknown at the moment. In terms of software, it ships with Samsung’s OneUI 1.1 at launch, which is based on Android 9.0 Pie. Security-wise, it features an on-screen fingerprint scanner.

In terms of camera, the phone sports a triple camera setup that can rotate on both front and rear. The setup comprises of a 48MP main camera with f/2.0 aperture, an 8MP ultra-wide shooter with f/2.2 aperture, and a 3D ToF camera. They can record videos at 4K resolution and 30 fps, 1080p resolution and 60fps, or super slow-motion videos @ 480fps. When working as selfie cameras, the phone supports Hyperlapse 1080p video recording. Under the hood, it is powered by a 3,700 mAh battery with support for 25W fast charging and USB-C port.
