Samsung already released the Samsung Galaxy A71 in India earlier in the week with a price of Rs. 29,999. However, it is powered by a Snapdragon 730G chipset, meaning the phone only supports 4G network. Now, it seems like the Samsung Galaxy A71 5G is in the works and will be released soon. A Samsung smartphone with model number SM-A7160 has been spotted on Geekench.
According to the listing, the handset comes with an Exynos 980 chipset, aided by 8GB of RAM. it also shows that the device boots the latest Android 10 out of the box, but it should run on One UI 2.0 on top. With that setup, the phone gets a score of 3,078 points in the single-core test and 7,346 points in the multi-core test.
For now, we haven’t heard anything regarding its launch date, availability, and price. However, since 5G network hasn’t been deployed in India yet, the chance of this phone coming to India is quite low.
Samsung Galaxy A71 4G: Specifications
The Galaxy A71 sports a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and a center-aligned punch-hole at the top for a selfie camera. Powering the phone is the mid-range Snapdragon 730G chipset, aided by Adreno 618 GPU. It is only available in a single 8GB RAM + 128GB UFS 2.1 storage in India. You can expand its storage using a microSD card (up to 512GB). Software-wise, the device is pre-loaded with Android 10 out of the box with One UI 2.0 running atop.
For optics, it gets quad cameras at the back of the phone, comprising 64MP main sensor with f/1.8 aperture, a 12MP wide-angle camera with a 123-degree viewing angle, a 5MP depth-sensing camera with f/2.2 aperture, and a 5MP macro camera with f/2.4 aperture. Upfront, there is a single 32MP shooter for video calls and selfies. The device is equipped with an under-display fingerprint reader for security and Dolby Atmos support. Under the hood, there is a 4,500 mAh fueling the entire setup and it can be refilled with 25W fast charging standard via a USB-C port.
