A new model of the Samsung Galaxy A10 with the model number SM-A102U has just surfaced on the US FCC. While the listing on FCC website doesn’t reveal key details about its specifications, it still hinted that the Galaxy A10e might make its debut very soon. Now, the handset has just made its appearance on the benchmarking site Geekbench, giving us some details about the upcoming budget offering.
The Samsung A10x is listed on Geekbench with the same model number SM-A102U. The listing shows that it will be powered by a Samsung’s Exynos 7885 octa-core processor. However, we believe that the phone will still have an Exynos 7884 SoC just like its sibling Galaxy A10. In addition, the Galaxy A10 was also listed on Geekbench with a Samsung-made Exynos 7885 processor, but it was later announced to pack an Exynos 7884 chipset instead. Moreover, the benchmark scores of the Galaxy A10e are 1,163 and 3,581 points in the single-core and multi-core tests. Both scores are nearly the same as those of the Galaxy A10.
Apart from the Exynos 7884 octa-core processor, the listing also tells us that the phone will have 2GB RAM which is the same as the Samsung Galaxy A10. In addition, the Galaxy A10 and A10e also ship with the same Android 9.0 Pie at launch.
To recall, the Galaxy A10e is said to be the even more affordable model of the recently-launched Galaxy A10 with slightly less powerful performance. However, it seems like the listing Geekbench has proven that the Galaxy A10e will be just as good as its sibling Galaxy A10 in terms of performance. Apart from this upcoming Galaxy A10e, the smartphone giant Samsung is reportedly working on yet another variant of the budget Galaxy A10 with a model number of SM-A107. The handset is said to come with the name of Galaxy A10s.
