An unknown Samsung smartphone has just popped up on Geekbench with model number SM-A025F. Based on the model number, we believe that it might be the successor to the Galaxy A01, possibly called Samsung Galaxy A02, because the A01's model number is SM-A015F. The device scored 757 points in the single-core test and 3,904 points in the multi-core test. The listing also reveals that the handset runs on Android 10 out of the box, possibly with Samsung’s One UI running on top.
The Samsung Galaxy A02 is listed with a Qualcomm chipset, though its exact identity isn’t revealed. Considering the benchmark scores, we would say we are looking at the Snapdragon 450 SoC. Obviously that is only a speculation, so you should take it with a grain of salt. The chipset will be paired with at least 2GB of RAM and that is the final detail we got at the moment.
Samsung Galaxy A01: Specifications & Features
The handset features a 5.7-inch Infinity-V screen with HD+ resolution. Powering the phone is an octa-core Snapdragon 439 chipset, aided by 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage (expandable via a microSD card, up to 512GB). It is pre-installed with Android 9 Pie-based One UI but is now upgradable to the latest Android 10.
In terms of cameras, it gets a total of three cameras, one of which is placed inside the water-drop notch on the front for selfies and video calls. The other two are located at the back of the phone, including a 13MP main camera and a 2MP depth sensor. Connectivity features include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS + GLONASS, Bluetooth 5.0, and 4G VoLTE. Finally, the phone is fueled by a 3,000 mAh battery and comes in Red, Blue, and Black color variants.
