Recently, details about next-generation ROG Phone 3 gaming phone has been revealed by a listing on TENAA database. The listing reveals that the upcoming ROG Phone 3 will own a massive configuration with an overclocked Snapdragon 865 chip, massively-beefy battery as well as RAM up to 16GB.
In terms of design, with some images uploaded on TENAA, we can see that phone will still have the same design language as its predecessor ROG Phone II. The handset will still feature a notch-free screen instead of going for the punch-hole style that many phone makers have been using.

The back of the device shows that ASUS will equip the phone with a new camera that is likely to be a telephoto lens, while the main camera is expected to be upgraded to a 64MP unit. However, it is worth noting that the ROG Phone 3 will no longer have a 3.5mm headphone jack, instead, users will have to plug the headphone through a USB-C port.
In terms of hardware specifications, the gaming-centric smartphone will have a large 6.59-inch screen, using AMOLED panels with Full HD + resolution (2340 x 1080), under-display optical fingerprint sensor. Although not mentioned, the screen of ROG Phone 3 will also have a refresh rate of at least 120Hz.

The handset is likely to be the most powerful Android smartphone at the time of launch when TENAA said it will come with an overclocked Snapdragon 865 chipset with a clocked speed 3.091GHz, up from 2.84GHz. X-Mode is likely to be integrated allowing users to customize CPU and GPU performance to optimize the graphics processing capabilities of the phone. In addition, the RAM capacity of ROG Phone 3 will increase to a maximum of 16GB, using LPDDR5 technology. And the storage capacity will range from 128GB, 256GB to 512GB. The battery packed inside the phone will reportedly have a whopping 6000mAh capacity and support 30W fast charging.
The upcoming ROG Phone 3 will be available on Android 10 out of the box with the ZenUI running on top, incorporating many support and optimization features for gaming. Finally, the handset may also come with a variety of accessories just like its predecessor.
