Xiaomi introduced the Redmi Note 9 Pro series in India back in March, but most of the users in the country couldn’t purchase the two smartphones due to the restrictions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Finally, nearly two months after the official launch, the Redmi Note 9 Pro is back and you can now buy the phone in India via Amazon India and Mi.com.
Redmi Note 9 Pro: Price in India & Availability
The Redmi Note 9 Pro is priced at Rs. 13,999 in India for the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant while the top-end model with 6GB RAM + 128GB storage will be up for sales at Rs. 16,990.
Both the Note 9 Pro & Pro Max are available in Black and White hues. Sadly, the brand hasn’t revealed its plan to release the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max.
Redmi Note 9 Pro: Specifications & Features
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro sports a 6.67-inch display with a punch-hole design, FHD+ resolution, and an aspect ratio of 20:9. Around the back, it features a glass sandwich design with Gorilla Glass 5 on both front and back. As mentioned, the device gets power from a Snapdragon 720G chipset, aided by 4 / 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage (expandable up to 512GB via a dedicated microSD card slot). It runs on Android 10-MIUI 11 at launch and packs a massive 5,020 mAh battery under the hood with 18W fast charging support over a USB-C port. For biometric authentication, users can use a fingerprint sensor mounted on the power button.
In the imaging department, the device is equipped with four cameras at the back housed inside a square module, consisting of a 48MP Samsung ISOCELL GM2 main sensor with an aperture of f/1.79, PDAF, 4K video recording @ 30fps, slow-mo, and Super Stabilization. The other three units are an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera with a 120-degree viewing angle, 2MP depth sensor, and a 5MP dedicated macro camera. For selfies, there is a 16MP sensor on the front. The handset has P2i splash-proof coating for water resistance, dual microphones with noise cancellation, and bottom-firing speakers. Its connectivity options are Wi-Fi, GPS / GLONASS, headphone jack, dual SIM slots, VoWi-Fi, and 4G LTE.
