Redmi Note 9 Pro Max India Sale Has Been Delayed Due To India Lockdown

Redmi has announced to delay the release of the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max in India to a later date due to the Covid-19 outbreak in India.

Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi has recently released the Redmi Note 9 Pro & Redmi Note 9 Pro Max in India several weeks ago. The latter has already up for sales for the first time in the country and it was very successful.
Meanwhile, the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max was slated to go on sale today, but it has now been delayed for an unknown amount of time. The sad news is announced via Redmi India’s official Twitter account.
The brand blames the recent state lockdowns across the country for this bad news. It also says that the release has been delayed, without providing any timeframe.
Redmi Note 9 Pro Max: Specifications & Price
The Redmi Note 9 Pro Max price in India is as follows:
- 6GB RAM + 64GB storage: Rs. 14,999
- 6GB RAM + 128GB storage: Rs. 16,999
- 8GB RAM + 128GB storage: Rs. 18,999
The Redmi Note 9 Pro Max has a 3D curved glass on the back, while the front has a 6.67-inch LCD punch-hole display with a cut-out placed in the top center, Full HD + resolution, and 20:9 aspect ratio.
The phone is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 720G 8nm processor, paired with 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB UFS 2.1 internal memory. It comes with a 5,020mAh battery, which can provide up to 20.5 days of standby time, 26 hours of video playback and 11 hours of PUBG Mobile. In addition, the device also supports 33W fast charging with the ability to fully charge the battery from 0% to 100% in just 30 minutes.
Moving to the back, the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max carries a quad-camera system housed in a square module with a completely new design. The rear camera cluster includes a 64MP main sensor, an 8MP ultra wide-angle sensor with a 119-degree viewing angle, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 5MP macro lens with focal length varying from 2cm to 10cm.
In addition, Redmi Note 9 Pro Max also has a 32MP camera placed in the punch-hole on the front for selfies and video calling. The rear camera supports multi-frame noise reduction, RAW photography, 21:9 wide-angle video recording, 4K video recording, and 1080p slow-motion video recording at 120fps.
Other features available on both the Redmi Note 9 Pro and Redmi Note 9 Pro Max include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, a dedicated microSD card slot, dual 4G VoLTE connectivity, 802.11ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, infrared sensor, USB-C port, and 3.5mm headphone jack. Both devices come with Android 10 pre-installed with MIUI 11 interface out of the box and support for India's NavIC satellite navigation system.
