Redmi Note 9 Is On The Way; Design & Specifications Revealed

A new Redmi phone has stopped by the TENAA database in China with the M2003J15SC model number, which is believed to be the Redmi Note 9. To recall, the Chinese phone maker released the Redmi Note 9 Pro & Redmi Note 9 Pro Max for the Indian market last month with a center-aligned punch-hole display and quad-camera cluster. Many people would question why there wasn’t a vanilla model in the series. Now, the existence of the phone has alleged been confirmed by a new TENAA listing, which also reveals the design and specifications of the phone.
The Redmi Note 9 design looks quite similar to its more premium sibling, with the same quad rear cameras stacked inside a square housing. However, the fingerprint reader is placed at the back of the device instead of being mounted on the side. In addition, the punch-hole placement on the front is also changed to the upper left corner., while the power button and volume rocker are still on the right spine.
Moving to the hardware specifications, the handset will rock a 6.53-inch FHD+ screen and an octa-core chipset clocked at 2GHz. Xiaomi will offer three memory configurations for this handset, including 3GB RAM + 32GB storage, 4GB RAM + 64GB storage, and 6GB RAM + 128GB storage. Users will also have the option to expand its storage with a microSD card (up to 512GB). The device weighs 198g and measures 162.3 x 77.2 x 8.9 mm. As for software, it will ship with Android 10-based MIUI 11 out of the box.
In terms of camera, it will also get a quad-camera lens setup at the back, including a 48MP main sensor. Just like other two phones in the series, Xiaomi will also pack a massive 5,020 mAh battery inside the Redmi Note 9 that supports 18W fast charging technology. Finally, its color variant will include at least Blue color and standard connectivity options like Wi-Fi, 4G VoLTE, GPS / GLONASS, USB-C port, and Bluetooth 5.0.
