Redmi Note 8 Released In New Cosmic Purple Color In India

Shortly after announcing the Redmi Note 8 series reaching 1 million units sold, Xiaomi releases a new color of the Redmi Note 8 called Cosmic Purple.

Xiaomi recently announced that its Redmi Note 8 & Note 8 Pro already reached 1 million units sold in India only one month after their official launch. Now, the company releases a new color variant of the Redmi Note 8 in the country to further boost its sales. The handset was available in Moonlight White, Neptune Blue, and Space Black. It will now come in one more color called Cosmis Purple. To recall, both Redmi Note 8 and Note 8 Pro feature a quad-camera cluster on the rear. However, while the vanilla model sports a 48MP main sensor, the primary camera on the Pro version carries 64MP resolution.
Redmi Note 8 Cosmic Purple: Price & Availability
This new color option will be offered in two memory configurations - 4GB RAM / 64GB of storage & 6GB RAM / 128GB of storage. The two models are priced at Rs. 9,999 and Rs. 12,999, respectively. You can get one in the market from 29 November via Mi Home stores and Mi.com.
Redmi Note 8 Cosmic Purple: Specifications & Features
The phone sports a 6.3-inch FHD+ IPS LCD display with a layer of Gorilla Glass 5. Under the hood, it packs a beefy 4,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging technology. Powering the device is a Snapdragon 665 SoC, paired with 4/6GB RAM and 64/128GB of expandable storage (up to 256GB via a dedicated microSD card slot). In the software side of things, it comes preloaded with Android 9 Pie and MIUI 10 interface. Security-wise, there is a fingerprint reader at its rear panel for security.
In the camera department, it rocks four cameras on the rear. They are a 48MP main sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, a 2MP depth sensors, and a 2MP macro camera. Upfront, it gets a 13MP camera with an f/2.0 lens for selfies and video chats. Connectivity features include dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/ A-GPS, and a USB Type-C port.
