The Redmi Note 8 series is set to debut on 29 August

Accordingly, both Weibo accounts of Redmi's General Manager Lu Weibing and the company announced that the vanilla Redmi Note 8 will be powered by Snapdragon 665 SoC while the Pro variant will come with MediaTek Helio G90T SoC under the hood.

Additionally, as per the previous teasers and renders, we already know the device will sport a quadruple rear camera setup. And while the 64MP sensor was showcased for a while, it was finally confirmed to be equipped in the Pro model. Now the official teasers announced that the vanilla Redmi Note 8 phone will feature a 48MP sensor, which is not surprising.

Particularly, the camera will have new Samsung ISOCELL GM2 sensor that was unveiled along with the 64MP GW1 sensor at the beginning of the month. In addition, the phone will offer amazing images in Night Mode, as per the samples that Lu Weibing shared. Furthermore, the details and colors of these images were really impressive.

Moreover, the Redmi Note 8 is confirmed to have a 4,500mAh battery with the 18W fast charging technology. However, some other rumors and leaks showed that the handset will come with a 10W charger as well. Both the Redmi Note 8 and its Pro variant are tipped to sport Dot notch on the front for housing a selfie camera and increasing the screen-to-body ratio.

Currently, we still need to wait for the official release date and price tag of the Redmi Note 8 series smartphones. When the Redmi Note 7 debuted, it began from CNY999 (roughly Rs. 10,000). Should the new series has the same pricing range like its predecessor, it will definitely be a record-breaking smartphone lineup.
