A reliable leaked recently said that Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi is working on a new model in the Redmi K30 series. The handset could be called Redmi K30i and you can tell by its name that the handset will likely be a Lite model of the Redmi K30 5G. A new leaked render of the phone has been shared on SlashLeaks to give us a good look at its design on both front and back. For some reason, the render has already been removed from SlashLeaks’ database, so you should take this with a grain of salt, especially when a previous leak claimed the Redmi K30i to feature a quad rear camera setup while the render shows only three.

The first 5G smartphone from Realme was the Redmi K30 5G, which launched at the end of last year with a dual punch-hole display. Now, the Redmi K30i render shows that the handset will only have a single punch-hole screen instead. It seems like this upcoming phone will also have an IPS LCD panel just like its sibling since we can see a side-mounted fingerprint sensor on the right spine.
Around the back, there is still the circular camera module just like the Redmi K30 & Redmi K30 Pro but instead of four sensors, it seems the device will only get three. The three sensors are stacked vertically with an LED flash being in the same strip at the bottom. The text placed inside the circular ring reveals the presence of the 48MP main sensor. To recall, the Redmi K30 5G is equipped with a 64MP Sony IMX686 sensor inside its quad rear camera cluster.

For now, there haven’t been many details on the Redmi K30i specifications. Since the handset is tipped to be placed at a lower tier than the Redmi K30 5G, it may not run on the Snapdragon 765G chipset. However, the Redmi K30i is still said to support 5G connectivity, so it could come with a MediaTek 5G chipset instead. As for the price, the handset could be released in China with a price of CNY 1,799 (around Rs. 19,400).
