It seems like the Redmi K30 Pro will have a pop-up selfie camera instead of a dual punch-hole display like its sibling Redmi K30.

Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi has recently announced the Redmi K30 in China and now it seems like the brand is ready to release the next addition to the series called Redmi K30 Pro. After getting certified, the handset’s existence has finally confirmed by Redmi’s executives.

Xiaomi Global’s VP and Redmi’s GM Lu Weibing has confirmed that the company is working on the Redmi K30 Pro and said that the device “has meticulous workmanship in addition to its powerful performance and configuration!”

Lu Wei Chan also made a poll on his Weibo page and asked users to choose which type of selfie camera design they want for the upcoming  Redmi K30 Pro. Yes, the majority of users chose the pop-up front-facing camera option.

The recently-leaked press renders of the Redmi K30 Pro also show that the handset will feature a pop-up selfie camera, which has been used on its predecessor Redmi K20 Pro. Two Xiaomi smartphones were recently spotted on the 3C database with model numbers M2001J11C and M2001J11E. They are said to be two variants of the Redmi K30 Pro. The two listings suggest that the device will pack a 4,700 mAh battery and support 33W quick charging standard.

In addition, the handset is also said to sport a full-screen OLED panel. In terms of cameras, the handset could sport a quad-camera setup with a Sony IMX686 “Oreo’ sensor being the main camera.

The phone was also listed on benchmark platform Geekbench with a Snapdragon 865 SoC and support for dual-mode 5G connectivity (SA & NSA). Moreover, it was revealed to have 8GB RAM, which is said to be LPDDR5 RAM.

For now, the Redmi K30 Pro launch date is unknown. However, it should not be too far away considering the fact the handset has got multiple certifications and been featured in several hints from the company’s executives.
