The Redmi K30 was released in China in December last year as the first phone from the brand to support 5G connectivity. Recently, Xiaomi was also said to release the Redmi K30 Pro with Snapdragon 865 SoC and 5G support in March this year. Now, nearly a month ahead of the rumored release date, the phone has been spotted on the benchmarking platform Gekbench with its key specs. And just as expected, the handset was spotted with Qualcomm’s most powerful chipset.

According to the Geekbench listing, the chipset with the codename ‘lmi’ is listed with the alleged Redmi K30 Pro. It has a base clock speed of 1.8GHz, which is the same as the Snapdragon 865 SoC. Previously, we have also heard a few rumors about Xiaomi working on the Redmi K30 Pro with a Snapdragon 865 chipset, so this listing could be accurate. Aside from that, the device runs on Android 10 to take care of the software side of things. However, we believe that it should also ship with Xiaomi’s MIUI 11 out of the box.
Coupled with the Snapdragon 865 SoC is 8GB RAM and the combination helps the Redmi K30 Pro achieve respectively scores of 903 and 3,362 points in the single-core and multi-core tests. These scores are higher than that of the Snapdragon 855-powered smartphones with only around 500 and 2,200 points in the same two tests. These are all the details we get from the Geekbench listing. There isn’t much information about the Redmi K30 Pro regarding its specifications, launch date, and price.

Separately, its sibling Redmi K30 was released in China last month. It has just been tipped to arrive in India under the POCO brand with the name Poco F2 Lite. We are not sure whether the handset will also come in two 4G and 5G versions or not because the 5G network hasn’t been available in India yet.
