Redmi K20 Pro Is Top 1 Smartphone Priced Over Rs. 21,500 In Q3: Canalys

Redmi K20 Pro, according to Canalys’s report, is the top 1 flagship device with a price tag of over $300 (roughly Rs. 21,400) in the third quarter of this year. The handset was first announced back in July. Since then, it has become one of the best-sellers in the segment, as per the report. The lineup includes the vanilla Redmi K20 and a more premium Redmi K20 Pro. While the former comes with a Snapdragon 730 chipset, the latter is packed with a Snapdragon 855 SoC. In the Xiaomi Black Friday sale, the company offered an Rs. 2,000 discount for the Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro. Sadly, the sale already ended on 2 December.
The Redmi K20 Pro being at the top 1 flagship smartphone in the price range of over $300 is quite impressive considering the fact that there were mixed responses. Several believed that its price was higher than they expected. However, thanks to the discounts that Xiaomi offers, the handset did pretty well in the Diwali With Mi & Black Friday sales.
The company also says that the performance of the phone has also been improved thanks to the recently-announced MIUI 11. The latest Xiaomi’s UI was pushed out in October, offering features such as dynamic and natural sound effects for alarms, notifications, and more. Redmi K20 Pro also gets a comprehensive design optimized for Always-on display and a full-screen display.
Redmi K20 Pro: Features & Specifications
The phone flaunts a 6.39-inch AMOLED panel with FHD+ resolution and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. It is driven by a Snapdragon 855 chipset, coupled with up to 8GB RAM. Under the hood, it gets power from a 4,000 mAh battery, that supports 27W quick charging technology. Software-wise, it comes preloaded with Android 9.0 Pie but is now upgradable to EMUI 11, which is based on Android 10.
In terms of camera, it rocks a triple-camera cluster, comprising of a 48MP main sensor, a 13MP ultra-wide shooter, and an 8MP telephoto lens. On the front, there is a 20MP sensor placed in a pop-up module to take selfies and video calls.
