Xiaomi has just launched the Redmi 9 Power smartphone in the Indian market. However, this is not a completely new smartphone as this is a rebranded model of the Redmi Note 9 4G launched in China earlier this month.
Redmi 9 Power: Price in India & Availability
The Redmi 9 Power price in India for the 4GB / 64GB version is Rs. 10,999 while the 4GB / 128GB version is priced at Rs. 11,999. The available color options are Mighty Black, Blazing Blue, Fiery Red, and Electric Green. The smartphone will compete in the low-cost segment in the Indian market.
It will go on sale in India starting December 22 via Amazon.in, Mi.com, Mi Home, and other retail stores across India.
Redmi 9 Power: Specifications & Features
In terms of design, the Redmi 9 Power is identical to the recently-announced Redmi Note 9 4G in China. It is equipped with a 6.53-inch punch-hole LCD screen with Full-HD + resolution and a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The back is made of plastic with a rectangular rear camera cluster and a very large Redmi logo.
The device is also equipped with Snapdragon 662 processor, 4GB of RAM, 64GB / 128GB storage and a beefy 6,000 mAh battery with 18W fast charging support.
The main rear camera sensor has a resolution of 48MP and is paired with an 8MP super wide-angle camera, a 2MP macro camera, and a 2MP depth sensor. The only difference in specs that sets this phone apart from the Poco M3 and the Redmi Note 9 4G is the 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera.
The selfie camera remains unchanged, still with 8MP resolution. In addition, Xiaomi retains the 3.5mm headphone jack, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, face unlock, and stereo speakers. The pre-installed operating system is still Android 10-based MIUI 12.
