Chinese electronics company Xiaomi has launched Redmi 8A after the success of Redmi 7A in India. Redmi 8A is a product of Redmi A series and company says that it is "India's favourite series." Xiaomi offers new "Aura Wave Grip" composition on Redmi 8A, and the phone comes with a splash-resistant P2i nano-coating. The Chinese company also offers Dot notch display in its new model.
Redmi 8A cost in India and launch offers
Xiaomi set the price for its Redmi 8A in the country at Rs. 6,499 for the 2 GB RAM and 32 GB internal storage variant, and the 3GB RAM and 32GB variant is at Rs. 6,999. The company offers both variants in these colors: Ocean Blue, Sunset Red, and Midnight Black.
Redmi 8A features and specifications
The phone sports 6.22" HD+ screen with the aspect ratio of 19:9. The company also provides protection of Corning Gorilla 5 along with the phone. In terms of performance, Redmi 8A offers Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 chipset coupled with up to 3 GB of RAM.
At the backside, the phone gets 12MP Sony IMX363 lens with the aperture of f/1.8 and a LED flash. For selfies, the phone gets 8 MP front camera. The phone offers many preloaded features like AI Scene Detection and AI Portrait Mode. For security, the company offers AI Face recognition technology in the smartphone. User can easily increase the external storage up to 512 GB using a MicroSD card.
It packs with massive 5000 mAh battery with the support of 18 Watt fast charging. In the shipment box, you'll get only 10W charger. If you want a 18W charger, you will need to purchase it separately.
