Redmi 7A India Launch Set For July 4, Flipkart Confirmed Through Microsite

Recently, Flipkart has launched a microsite which confirms that Xiaomi is going to launch its Redmi 7A on 4 July 2019 in India. Along with Flipkart, buyers will also be able to purchase this phone directly from Mi offline stores and Mi official website.
To recall, in May Redmi launched the Redmi 7A in China and this is a lower-end version of its Redmi 7. It is powered by the Snapdragon 439 processor and fueled with a 4000 mAh battery. Last week, Xiaomi India MD, Manu Kumar Jain teased the launch of Redmi 7A in India, but the company's MD did not reveal the official launch date. He said that there will be an upgrade feature in Redmi 7A's India variant which is not available in the Chinese variant.

The Redmi 7A is mentioned on Flipkart microsite as a "Smart Desh Ka Smartphone." It doesn't reveal any information regarding the availability and price of the Redmi 7A, the microsite only confirmed the date of its launch and also specified some features like "Facebook-ready camera," "long-lasting battery," and "fast processor" on the upcoming handset.
Dated back May, Xiaomi had released its Redmi 7A in China. There are two storage options on this phone, 16GB and 32GB onboard storage variants.
Mannu Jain, Xiaomi India MD, last week teased the arrival of the Redmi 7A. The phone is a cheaper variant of the Redmi 7 (Rs. 7,999) that was launched in April in India. Jain mentioned in a tweet that Xiaomi is upgrading "massive" feature for the country. However, he did not cite any details about the feature.

Redmi 7A price
The company hasn't officially revealed the price of the new Redmi 7A till now. However, the prices might be the same as its Chinese variant.
In China, the cost of a Redmi 7A for the 16GB storage variant is CNY 549 (INR 5,500). On the other hand, the 32GB storage variant is available at the price of CNY 599 (INR 6,000). The company offers two color variants for this phone: Blue & Matte Black. In India, it is expected that the Redmi 7A will carry a similar price tag as the Redmi 6A, Rs 5,999, that was launched in last September in India.
Redmi 7A specs (China variant)
The Redmi 7A sports an HD display measuring 5.45 inches, with the resolution of 720x1440 and an aspect ratio of 18:9 along with P2i splash-resistant coating. The phone comes with Snapdragon 439 chipset paired with 2GB RAM.
For photography and videography phone gets a 13MP camera at the back and a LED flash; the phone also gets a 5MP selfie sensor in front with support for AI face unlock. The handset runs on Android 9 Pie with MIUI on top.
The 7A offers two storage option variants. The first one is a base variant of 16 GB onboard storage, and another comes with 32 GB storage option. Both variants support microSD card, for further upgrade storage. For connectivity option, the phone has Bluetooth, a 3.5mm audio jack, Wi-Fi, GPS/A-GPS, as well as a micro-USB port. The phone packs with a 4,000 mAh long lasting battery.
