The successor to the Redmi 6A, the Redmi 7A was already launched last week but Xiaomi hasn’t revealed the availability and price of the handset. Now, at the launch event of the Redmi K20 series, the company has confirmed the pricing to be from RMB 549 (around Rs. 5,600) while its launch date is set to be 6 June. Unfortunately, the brand doesn’t reveal its plan to launch the phone outside of its home market China. Aside from announcing the Redmi 7A's launch date and price, the company also reveals the mid-range Redmi K20 with a Snapdragon 730 SoC and the 'flagship-killer' Redmi K20 Pro with a Snapdragon 855 SoC.

Redmi 7A: Price
The handset will be priced from RMB 549 (around Rs. 5,550) for the base variant with 2GB RAM + 16GB storage. There is also a higher variant with 2GB RAM + 32GB storage for RMB 599 (around Rs. 6,050). It is now available for pre-ordering in China while it will go on sale from 6 June. There are two available color variants which are Blue and Matte Black.
Redmi 7A: Specs & Features
The device sports a 5.45-inch panel with HD+ (1,440 x 720p) resolution. Unlike recent Redmi smartphones, the device features a traditional aspect ratio of 18:9 instead of 19.5:9 with a dewdrop on top. Moreover, the phone features P2i-splash coating for slash resistant.

It is powered by a Snapdragon 439 processor with 2GB RAM / 16GB storage or 3GB RAM / 32GB storage. Users can expand its storage up to 256GB using a microSD card. In terms of software, it boots Android 9.0 Pie with MIUI 10 on top. On the camera front, it features a 13MP camera at the back with camera features like PDAF, AI portrait mode, and AI beauty. Up front, it has a 5MP camera for taking selfies, video calling, and Face Unlock feature for biometric authentication. A 4,000 mAh battery will round up its specification list.
