A new Xiaomi smartphone was just certified by 3C (China’s Compulsory Certification Agency), and it seems to be the direct successor to the Xiaomi Mi A2 lite or Redmi 6 Pro that launched last year. The phone made its appearance with the model number M1906F9SG and will most likely follow the naming strategy of its predecessor. That means it will be called Redmi 7 Pro in the Indian and Chinese markets while other markets will welcome the phone with the name Xiaomi Mi A3 Lite.
While we can’t get a lot of details from the CCC listing but we can see that the handset will have a 5V/2A 10W charger. It is also speculated to pack a Snapdragon 710 or Snapdragon 712 processor as well as a triple camera system at the back with a 48MP primary camera.
In addition, it is also tipped to be fueled by a 3,300mAh battery, which is a substantial drop from the 4,000mAh cell on the Redmi 6 Pro. We are not sure why Xiaomi would go for such a substantial cut down in the batter capacity. Let's wait and see what is the reason for it.
Its predecessor was priced at Rs. 10,999 for the base variant with 3GB RAM / 32GB storage, so we believe that there wouldn’t be a significant jump or drop in the Redmi 7 Pro’s price tag.
In the meantime, the Chinese phone maker has just announced a brand new series called Xiaomi CC series that is aimed at the youngster and those who love taking selfies.
