Realme XT has finally been announced at a launch event in India. In addition, the brand also confirmed that it is going to introduce another model of the Realme XT with a Snapdragon 730G sometime in December this year. It will still come with the same quad rear camera system with a 64MP main sensor, Super AMOLED panel with an on-screen fingerprint reader, hyperbola 3D glass design, and a beefy 4,000 mAh battery with support for VOOC fast charging solution (30W).
However, the brand doesn’t give us the exact release date or its price at the event. However, we believe that it will likely be priced at around Rs. 20,000 to Rs. 25,000 for the entry-level model. In terms of camera, it should still have the same 8MP ultra-wide camera, a 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP portrait lens.
It seems like the Realme XT with a Snapdragon 730G will be called Realme XT Pro. Moreover, a listing on TENAA for the phone has also revealed that it will come with a 32MP selfie shooter on the front, whereas the rest of the specs and features will be just the same as its sibling, Realme XT. Its biggest competitor should be the Redmi K20, which is also powered by the Snapdragon 730 chipset. Since its launch in December is still several months away, there should be more details coming out soon.
Realme XT: Price & Specifications
The Realme XT recently went official in India in three variants - 4GB of RAM + 64GB of storage, 6GB RAM + 64GB of storage, and 8GB RAM + 128GB of storage. They are priced at INR 15,999, INR 16,999 and INR 18,999, respectively.
The handset comes with a 6.4-inch AMOLED panel with FHD+ resolution and an on-screen fingerprint reader. Powering the phone is a Snapdragon 712 SoC, coupled with up to 8GB RAM and 128GB of storage. Software-wise, it ships with Android 9 Pie out of the box with ColorOS 6.0 on top to take care of the software side of things.
In terms of camera, it features a 64MP main sensor at the back, alongside an 8MP ultra-wide shooter, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 2MP macro camera. On the front, there is a 16MP camera for selfies and video chats.
