After launching the Realme V5 & V5 Pro early this month, OPPO’s sub-brand Realme confirms to announce the Realme X7 & X7 Pro in China on 1st September. Earlier this week, the brand released a teaser, hinting at the arrival of a new smartphone, speculated to be the Realme 7 series. However, now the company has confirmed that the series teased back then is Realme X7. Aside from revealing the official launch date, it also gives us some teaser posters to show the key features of the upcoming Realme X7 & X7 Pro.

From the teased specs, we believe that the Realme X7 & X7 Pro will be in the mid-range segment. Both of them will come with an AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, meaning they are not rebranded model of the Realme V5 & 5 Pro, both of which feature IPS LCD panels. The two forthcoming phones are also said to support the next-gen 5G connectivity, which means we might see the presence of the Snapdragon 765G or a MediaTek Dimensity chipset. Sadly, the brand doesn’t give us the exact identity, so we have to settle with that for now. Nevertheless, there are only around 11 days until the official launch event, so we won’t have to wait for long for more details.
Following the official teaser, Realme CMO Xu Qi Chase revealed that these phones will be a part of a brand new series, suggesting that the Realme X7 lineup won’t succeed any phones in the current X-series. He also said that the series will feature a completely new design.
