Realme X7 Design

While the Realme X7 doesn’t have a premium glass design, it comes with a polished polycarbonate back. The back has a matte-like finish and doesn’t attract fingerprints. It is really smooth to the touch. The AG shower coating leaves a pleasant impression. At 176g, the X7 is quite light. It has a thickness of 8.1mm. The phone is comfortable to hold in hand with its relatively narrow frame and gently sloping edges. Realme provides users with a clear silicone case to prevent the phone from getting damaged.

At the back, there is a triple-camera module on the top left. When you place the phone on a flat surface, it slightly wobbles. But this can be eliminated when you use the case. On the left is a volume rocker. At the bottom of the phone is the USB-C port, the speaker grille, and the dual-SIM slot.

Realme X7 Display

The phone comes with a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution. The phone has a 60Hz refresh rate. The display looks bright, punchy, and accurate. Due to being an OLED display, it offers deep blacks. When changing the viewing angles, there is no color shift. The punch hole on the top left of the display covers a minimal area while the bezels around the panel are quite thin.

Realme X7 Cameras

The Realme X7 comes with a triple-camera setup with a main 64MP camera that is different from the one on the Realme X7 Pro. While the Pro version has the flagship Sony IMX686 sensor, the X7 sports the Samsung ISOCELL GW2. Besides the main lens, you have an 8MP ultra-wide lens and a 2MP macro lens. On the front, there is a 16MP selfie camera. The primary camera delivers a lot of details and clarity. However, the photos do look slightly pastel-y and brighter than expected.

The 64MP UHD mode lets in more details. Focusing is fast for a mid-range device. The portrait mode makes use of computational algorithms for subject and background separation. The overall blur is okay while edge detection can be a bit iffy. Photos from the 2MP macro sensor look accurate in terms of colors but lack details.

In low-light conditions, the phone still manages to produce some great photos without the help of the dedicated Nightscape mode. In extremely low light, the camera encounters a slight lag. The Nightscape mode is somewhat overexposed.

The X7 sports the Samsung ISOCELL GW2 for its main camera.

Realme X7 can record 4K videos but only at 30fps and 1080p recording at 60fps. The selfie camera at the front can take feature-rich and detailed selfies.
