Vivo’s sub-brand iQOO is planning to release its first 5G-enabled smartphone in India called iQOO 3 and the phone was expected to be India’s first 5G smartphone. However, it seems like the title will belong to the Realme X50 Pro as Realme has just teased that it will release the handset in India on 24 February, which is one day earlier than iQOO’s launch event. The handset will be introduced at an event in New Delhi.
The event will take place at 2:30 PM IST in India and at the same time, it will also debut in Madrid, Spain.
Realme X50 Pro: Specifications
The Realme X50 Pro will come with the top-of-the-line Snapdragon 865 SoC and a Snapdragon X55 5G modem for 5G connectivity. On the front, the phone will get a dual selfie camera setup placed in a pill-shaped cut-out on the front. Its display will likely be a Super AMOLED panel that supports a 90Hz refresh rate.

Other confirmed specs include 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM, Android 10-based Realme UI, and 256GB of storage. The brand also recently teased that the device will support the brand’s 65W SuperDart fast-charging standard and the fast charger will be bundled with the phone. According to Realme, this new fast-charging technology won't heat up the smartphone and it will also offer improved battery life.
In addition, a new teaser photo shared by Realme on Weibo also confirms that the handset will have as many as six cameras and support 20x zoom. We believe that it should have quad cameras on the rear and dual selfie cameras on the front. The rear camera setup will likely include a 64MP Sony IMX686 sensor as its primary camera.
