Realme already confirmed its participation at the Mobile World Congress 2020 in Barcelona, Spain later this month. One of the devices it’s expected to release is the Realme X50 Pro 5G. Ahead of the official event, the brand’s VP has posted a photo that shows the smartphone’s key specifications.
The photo was shared on Weibo by Xu Qi Chase, President of Global Marketing and Realme’s VP. It confirms that the phone will arrive as Realme X50 Pro 5G. It seems the photo is a screenshot of the ‘About’ section of the phone, which has model number Realme RMX2071. It shows that the device will be pre-installed with Realme UI 1.0, which is based on the latest Android 10. Powering the device will be the top-end Snapdragon 865 SoC with a Snapdragon X55 5G modem for 5G connectivity. Paired with the chipset is 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB storage. We doubt that the phone will have a microSD card slot to expand its storage, but the handset should be available in several other memory configurations. However, it will still support dual-SIM slots just like many other Chinese smartphones.
That is all we can get from the screenshot. For now, we still don’t know its display size, type of panel, resolution, camera details, battery capacity, and fast charging standard. Nevertheless, the brand should share some teaser posters ahead of the official launch, so stay tuned. Apart from the Realme X50 Pro 5G, Realme also confirmed that it will announce its first-ever smart TV at the Mobile World Congress 2020 event. However, we aren’t sure whether the brand will introduce the TV at the MWC event as it is not a place for introducing TVs.
