Yesterday, Realme teased that it was going to announce the release date of the Realme X50 5G today. Keeping its promise, the Chinese phone maker has confirmed that its first 5G phone Realme X50 5G will arrive in China on 7 January. At the same event, the company is also expected to release the Realme Buds Air TWS wireless earbuds. Sadly, the brand didn't mention anything about the launch date of Realme X50 5G in India.
While its launch date is now confirmed, the brand has already revealed many of the features and specs of the forthcoming phone. In line with its strategy, Realme has started teasing features of the phone on Weibo for several weeks.
The brand revealed that the phone will feature a dual-selfie camera setup housed in a punch-hole on the front like the Redmi K30 5G. The handset will support 5G connectivity and dual-band Wi-Fi at the same time, which can increase network speed in all scenarios.
The Realme X50 5G was also revealed to cover all mainstream frequency bands for the 5G network, including N79, N78, N41, and N1. The phone will support both SA (standalone) and NSA (non-standalone) 5G network.
Aside from these, the brand also confirmed to pack the newly-announced Snapdragon 765G SoC on the Realme X50, which could be paired with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. The Snapdragon 765G is currently used on the Redmi K30 5G and will be packed on the Oppo Reno 3 Pro. There was also a teaser poster showing that the handset will support the enhanced VOOC 4.0 Flash Charge tech that can juice up 70 percent of the battery in 30 minutes.
On the front, the phone is tipped to sport a 6.44-inch AMOLED panel. For photography, it might be equipped with four cameras, including a 60MP Sony IMX686 sensor alongside 8MP + 2MP + 2MP sensors. On the front, the dual camera cluster will consist of a 32MP main sensor and an 8MP secondary shooter. Finally, the phone should ship with Android 10-based ColorOS 7 out of the box.
