Realme X2 Confirmed To Arrive In India On 17 December

The Realme X2 is packed with a 64MP quad rear camera lens cluster, Snapdragon 730G, 32MP selfie camera, and in-display fingerprint sensor.

Oppo’s sub-brand Realme teased the launch of a new smartphone with a Snapdragon 730G chipset in India for quite a while. The handset was speculated to be called Realme XT 730G. Now, the CEO of Realme India Madhav Sheth went to Twitter and confirmed that the handset will come to the country under the name Realme X2. According to a recent teaser, the company is also planning to launch a Star Wars Edition of the phone, but the availability of it is still under wraps. 

From now, you can join the Booster sale event organized by Realme to get a chance to purchase the handset at launch. All you need is depositing Rs. 1,000. The offer is up until 16 December, and those claim this offer can get a discount of Rs. 5,000 on the device. The phone will start shipping on 17 December.

Realme X2: Specifications & Features

The Realme X2 has a 6.4” AMOLED FHD+ display that is protected by a Gorilla Glass 5 layer. Its power comes from a Snapdragon 730G chipset, alongside 6/8GB of RAM and 64/128/256GB of UFS 2.1 storage. Fueling the entire setup is a 4,000 mAh battery, that can be charged with the 30W fast charging technology (67 percent in 30 minutes). 

In the imaging department, it boasts four cameras at the back. They are 64MP main sensor, 2MP macro camera, 2MP depth sensor, and 8MP ultra-wide snapper. On the front, it gets a single 32MP selfie camera. Software-wise, it is upgradable to Android 10, but it still comes with Android 9 Pie out of the box. For security, it is packed with an under-display fingerprint reader that can be used to unlock the device. 

Price of the phone in China was set at CNY 1,599 (around Rs. 16,100) for the 6GB RAM / 64GB storage and CNY 1,799 (around Rs. 18,100) for the 6GB RAM / 128GB storage model. The top-end of the phone costs CNY 1,899 (around Rs. 19,100).
