Realme X With Pop-Up Selfie Camera & Snapdragon 710 Finally Goes Official in India

The latest Realme offering finally makes its way to India. Apart from the regular version, the brand also announced the Realme X Onion & Garlic Editions in the country along with the Spider-Man: Far From Home gift box. Notably, it is the first from the brand to feature the pop-up camera design. Other highlights include a 48MP main camera, full-screen display, and an in-display fingerprint scanner. The handset was already up for pre-order in India, but the company only offered 2,000 units of the regular version and 300 units of the special Spider-Man edition.
Realme X: Price
The base variant with 4GB RAM / 128GB storage is retailed at Rs. 16,999 in India. You can also get the variant with twice the amount of RAM and 128GB of storage for Rs. 19,999. There are Space Blue and Polar White colour variants available for you to choose from. It is set to go on sale on Flipkart from 8 p.m on 17 July as a part of the 'Hate to Wait' sale, while it will officially go on sale from 12 p.m on 17 July via the company’s website and Flipkart. In addition, it will be distributed via offline stores from next month, according to the company.
The Realme X Onion & Garlic Master Editions will be retailed at Rs. 19,999 for each while Rs. 20,999 is the price for the special Spider-Man: Far From Home gift box.
Realme X: Specifications & Features
The device sports a 6.53-inch FHD+ display with an impressive 91.2% screen-to-body ratio. It is powered by a Snapdragon 710 octa-core processor, paired with 4/8GB RAM + 128GB storage. In terms of software, it ships with Android 9 Pie with Oppo’s ColorOS 6.0 on top to take care of the software side of things. Security-wise, it features an on-screen fingerprint scanner for biometric authentication.
Moving to the camera aspect, there is a dual camera setup at the back of the phone. It includes a 48MP Sony IMX 586 sensor, paired with a 5MP depth sensor. Up front, it has a 16MP pop-up camera for selfies and video chats. Finally, it is fueled by a 3,765 mAh battery with 20W fast charging support.
As for the Spider-Man: Far From Home edition, it packs 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage and is available in Polar White color. It is also equipped with a custom theme that is based on Marvel's superheroes. The phone is packed in a special box that includes a Spider-Man-themed case as well. The Realme X Onion & Garlic Editions also come with 8GB RAM / 128GB storage. They were made in partnership with a Japanese designer called Naoto Fukasawa, and their designs were inspired by onions & garlic.
