Realme has released a teaser about the launch of its Realme X in India on Twitter. Previously, on July 1, the brand posted a poster with the caption “Realme X Coming Soon”. Additionally, Madhav Sheth, Realme’s CEO, tweeted same announcement and stated “onion and garlic design master editions.”
To recall, the upcoming Realme X was unveiled in the Chinese market in May. Also, the brand introduced Realme X Lite which is considered as the Realme 3 Pro’s rebranded version in China. At the release event, the brand had confirmed the launch of the phone in India in the 2nd half of this year. Now, the phone will finally be available in the Indian market very soon.
The CEO also revealed that the handset will cost Rs. 18,000 - Rs. 20,000 in the Indian market. It is known that the device comes in 3 memory variants in China including 4GB RAM + 64GB internal storage for CNY1,499 (Rs.15,000 roughly), 6GB RAM + 64GB internal storage for CNY1,599 (Rs.16,000 roughly), and 8GB RAM + 128GB internal storage for CNY1,799 (Rs.18,000 roughly). Whether Realme introduces all 3 variants in the Indian market or just 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant remains unknown.
Realme X Specs, Features
The phone’s highlight is its 6.53-inch full-view AMOLED screen with Full HD+ (1,080 x 2,340 pixel) resolution and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. The display has no notch due to the 16MP Sony IMX471 pop-up selfie camera.
Besides, the phone comes with a dual rear camera setup including a 48MP primary sensor and a 5MP depth sensor. The AI-backed camera also features the Super Night Mode for a clear and crisp image in the low light conditions. Also, it has the support for ultra slow-motion video recording at 960fps in 720p and at 120fps in 1080p.
The phone is powered by a Snapdragon 710 chipset under the hood, combined with up to 8GB of RAM + 128GB of internal storage. However, the device launched in India will have a different SoC, probably a Snapdragon 730 SoC. The smartphone also features AI HyperBoost tech for smooth performance. And powering it is a 3,765 mAh battery, supporting the VOOC 3.0 Flash Charge tech. Regarding the software, the phone runs Color OS based on Android 9.0 Pie out-of-the-box. It also has an on-screen fingerprint sensor for biometric security.
