According to tipster Ishan Agarwal, the former Oppo’s sub-brand, Realme, could soon release a new phone, dubbed Realme A1. He also added that this upcoming Realme A1 would come with a lower price tag than the Realme U1 and most likely in the budget phone segment. With the Realme U1 being priced from Rs. 11,999, the Realme A1 should be priced at under Rs. 10,000. The phone is also tipped to come in two colour variants, Yellow and Black.
For now, the Realme 2 and Realme C1 are the two most affordable phones from Realme and priced at Rs. 7,499 and Rs. 8,499, respectively. As mentioned, the leak suggested that the upcoming Realme A1 will be launched in between the Realme U1 and Realme C1.
Realme A1: Expected specifications
So far, Realme has been doing quite well in the Indian smartphone market with all of its smartphones having positive sale figures. One of the key reason leading to this Realme’s success is that the company offers better hardware specs than the majority of the other competitors. Therefore, the upcoming Realme A1 might also come packed with more powerful hardware than other phones in the same competition.
The Realme A1 will be launched at a level below the Realme U1
So, similar to other phones in the same price range, the Realme A1 might feature an octa-core SoC. However, it is likely to be a MediaTek octa-core processor instead of a Qualcomm Snapdragon one, and it is mostly due to the lower price that MediaTek offers. The phone might also have a dual rear camera system.
The Realme phone is expected to sport a near bezel-less display and a display notch as well. If Realme indeed managed to pack those features on the phone, it will probably be among the very few smartphones in the budget segment to come with a nearly bezel-less and notched display. The Realme A1’s base variant will most likely have 2GB RAM/16GB internal storage, and there might be another option with 3GB RAM/32GB internal storage.
Realme also has known for packing a decently large battery. We would say the phone will have at least 3,500 mAh like on the recent Realme U1 or higher. The Chinese company might also opt for the latest Android 9.0 Pie on the phone, which will probably give the Realme A1 a massive advantage over the others.
And if our speculations are correct, the upcoming Realme A1 might be a force to be reckoned with in the budget segment. But that are just our speculations so we have to wait for more details to know for sure. The Realme A1 should be launched in the first quarter of next year. So stay tuned, we will update as soon as more details come out.
