Even though the Realme 5i has only been announced for nearly two months, Realme has already sent out its successor to get certification from the FCC. The listing of the Realme 6i on the FCC database gives us not only a good look at its design but also its specifications.
The Realme 6i, with RMX2040 model number, is said to pack a beefy 5,000 mAh battery and support 18W fast charging solution, judging by the images of the charger. The Realme 5i is also equipped with the same battery but only supports 10W standard charging tech. However, it seems the upgrades won’t include a transition to USB Type-C port as the handset in the photo still has a micro-USB port.
In one of the photos, we can see a quad-camera cluster at the back of the phone. Even though it is not clear, but it seems like the main camera on the setup is a 48MP sensor. That is a significant upgrade over the Realme 5i, which only has a 12MP primary sensor at the back. The lenses of the other two cameras look quite small, so we might be looking at 2MP depth sensor and 2MP macro camera. On the front, it has a single selfie camera housed in a water-drop notch.
The device’s dimensions are similar to that of the Realme 5i, which are 164.4x75x9 mm and its weight is 195 grams. With these dimensions, we believe that the 6i’s display should have a similar size as that of the 5i, which is 6.5 inches. The model on the photos is in White color, while the Realme 5i came in Green and Blue hues only.
In terms of connectivity, it supports LTE with two SIM slots, Bluetooth 5.0, and Wi-Fi b/g/n (2.4GHz). Not only the FCC, but the upcoming Realme 6i has also been certified by wireless authorities in multiple countries like India, Singapore, Thailand, Russia, and Malaysia. That means the phone will be available in India.
