A forthcoming phone dubbed Realme 5S has just passed through BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards) as well as Thailand’s NBTC. The Realme 5S was certified on those two authorities under the model number of RMX1925. These two certifications suggest that Realme might launch the phone soon. There is a good chance that it will arrive at the same launch event of the Realme X2 Pro on 20 November or the Realme X7 730G launch in December.

The certifications don’t give us any information regarding the specifications of the Realme 5S. However, it might come with a less powerful set of specifications compared to the Realme 5, according to Nashville Chatter. To recall, the Realme 5 was announced as Realme’s budget smartphone with a quad-camera cluster, Snapdragon 665 chipset, and 6.5-inch HD+ display.
If that speculation is to be believed, the upcoming Realme 5s might replace the Realme 3i as a new entry-level offering from the brand. It could also be positioned between the Realme 5 & Realme 5 Pro. The latter comes with the same quad rear cameras as the former, but its setup includes a 48MP sensor instead of a 12MP snapper. Powering the phone is also a more powerful Snapdragon 712 SoC, coupled with a 4,035 mAh battery that supports 20W fast charging solution.

The price of the Realme 5 Pro in India is Rs. 13,999 for the base variant with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. If you want to get higher RAM and storage, you can get the 8GB of RAM / 128GB of storage model for Rs. 16,999. Both options are available in Sparkling Blue and Crystal Green colors. Meanwhile, the Realme 5 is slightly more affordable with a Rs. 9,999 price tag for the 3GB of RAM model. Its 4GB RAM / 128GB of storage variant is offered at Rs. 11,999. Both of them come in either Crystal Purple or Crystal Blue hues.
