The Realme 5s is the third addition to the Realme 5 series with a 48MP quad rear camera cluster, a Snapdragon 665 SoC, and a massive 5,000mAh battery.

After plenty of rumors and leaks, Realme finally unveils the Realme 5s as a new affordable device in India. The device arrives as the third offering in the Realme 5 lineup, after the Realme 5 & Realme 5 Pro. It has nearly the same specs as its sibling Realme 5, except for the camera setup. While the Realme 5 sports a 12MP main sensor, the Realme 5s is packed with a 48MP one. It is also available in a new hue called Crystal Red with a Nano Holographic design.

The handset is priced at Rs. 9,999 in India for the entry-level variant with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. You can get a different model with twice the storage for Rs. 10,999. It will be available for sale from 12 p.m on 29 November via the company’s e-store, offline stores, and Flipkart. Crystal Red, Crystal Purple, and Crystal Blue are three color options you can choose.

The Realme 5s flaunts a 6.51-inch display with HD+ (1,600 x 720p) resolution and a dewdrop notch at the top for housing a selfie camera. It draws power from a Snapdragon 665 SoC, coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64/128GB of storage (expandable with a dedicated microSD card slot up to 256GB). In terms of software, it ships with Android 9.0 Pie pre-installed and ColorOS 6.0 UI atop. The entire setup is fueled by a massive 5,000 mAh battery, that supports 10W charging technology. To protect the phone, Realme packs it with a fingerprint reader at the back for biometric security.

At the back, there is a quad-camera cluster, including a 48MP main sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera with 119° FOV, 2MP depth sensor, and a 2MP dedicated macro camera. On the front, it is packed with a 13MP snapper that is housed on the water-drop notch. The cameras are backed by HDR, Timelapse, Panoramic View, Refined Beauty Mode, ultra-wide-angle video capture, 240fps slow-mo video recording, ChromaBoost, and Super Nightscape 2.0.
