Realme To Launch Realme 5 In India Before Diwali, Skips Realme 4

Realme is all set to launch its Realme 5 at an event before Diwali. Diwali in India is celebrated towards the end of October so the Realme 5 could debut earlier that month. In addition, it is worth noting that the exec who revealed this information said that Realme does not have any plan for the Realme 4 at present. Moreover, the previous-leaked retail box of the phone is fake, said the exec. The upcoming Realme 5 will be more premium model of Realme X unveiled in the Indian market on July 15.
However, so far, there has been no much information about the upcoming Realme 5. But it is tipped to have better features than the Realme X. And its price is expected to be around Rs. 10,000, which is similar to its predecessors’ starting price. Meanwhile, the Pro variant would be costlier. The brand is expected to start teasing the release of the Realme 5 sometime within September.
This info was revealed just several days after 3 upcoming phones appeared on the EEC listing in Russia, which is thought to be the variants on the rumored Realme 4 series. In fact, these phones probably are in the upcoming Realme 5 lineup.
Besides, Realme has recently unveiled two new phones which are Realme X and Realme 3i in India. Some notable features of the Realme X include a 6.53-inch Full HD+ display with a screen-to-body ratio of 91.2%, an on-screen fingerprint sensor, a Snapdragon 710 SoC, a 3,765mAh battery, a 48MP main sensor, and a 16MP pop-up selfie camera.
Meanwhile, the entry-level Realme 3i features an Helio P60 octa-core chipset, a dewdrop notch display, a fingerprint sensor on the back, a big 4,230mA battery, and a dual rear camera setup. Currently, the Realme X has the starting price from Rs. 16,999 while the Realme 3i is priced from Rs. 7,999 in the Indian market.
