The Realme 3 launch has been confirmed for March 4 in India, which will fiercely compete with Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 7.

A large number of rumors around the Realme 3 appeared for a long time. Recently, the Realme India launch date has been confirmed for March 4, which is expected to fiercely take on the newly-released Redmi Note 7 of Xiaomi. This Oppo spinoff also plans to release its Realme 3 Pro, competing with the Redmi Note 7 Pro. Madhav Sheth, CEO of Realme, posted a teaser on Twitter to mock the rival Redmi Note 7. “What’s 7 doing in 3”, reads the caption.

Also, at the end of this teaser, it revealed the “Pro” variant launch with the caption of “Be Proactive”. The duo will be the successors of the Realme 2 and the Realme 2 Pro released in the Indian market last year. As for the Realme 3’s specs, the device is expected to have a MediaTek Helio P70 SoC built on 12nm process, and an ARM’s GPU, Mali-G72. Powering the handset is a large battery with a capacity of 4,230mAh, according to the listing on Flipkart.

Additionally, the handset will have the dewdrop-shaped notched design. Because the Realme 2 sported a screen of 6.2 inches, the Realme 3 is said to sport the same screen size. Regarding the appearance, the smartphone will feature the diamond cut design, along with a fingerprint scanner fitted at the back. As for the hardware, the device will come with up to 6G RAM and 128GB storage. Besides, the upcoming device will probably run on Android-Pie-based ColorOS 6.0 at launch. According to the rumours, it could be equipped with a dual camera setup at the back including a 16MP shooter and a 5MP shooter.

Coming to the smartphone’s price, the Flipkart revealed that it will have a surprising price tag. The upcoming Realme duo will launch with similar prices to the newly-released Redmi Note 7 series of Xiaomi.
