Realme 3 Is India's Best-Selling Phone Online In March, Beating Redmi Note 7 & Redmi Note 7 Pro

Realme shipped more than 500,000 Realme 3 units in India, which makes the phone become the best-selling smartphone in the online segment in India.

Realme 3 is currently holding the top position in the smartphone online retail segment in March 2019. It is known that the handset was unveiled in March on Flipkart and was the most common phone in the online retail channel, according to Counterpoint Research. The Realme 3 success contributes to the tremendous development of Realme in the online phone market in India. The former Oppo’s sub-brand first ran its business in India in May last year. After only one year, it has achieved the 4th position in top smartphone brand ranking. With the success of the Realme 3/3 Pro, this phone maker is intending to overpass Vivo to be the 3rd biggest smartphone brand in India.

According to Counterpoint Research, Realme has a large potential to develop in India thanks to the aggressive specifications and embracing changing trends of the market, helping the Realme 3 first achieve the no.1 spot in the online retail channels. Speaking about this achievement, Realme India CEO, Madhav Sheth said Realme already hit a new record with over 500,000 Realme 3 shipments within only 3 weeks since the launch. He added:

In addition, Realme 3 surpassed the Redmi Note 7 and the Redmi Note 7 Pro to be the best seller in the online retail channel in March. And according to the India Smartphone Analysis by Counterpoint Research for March, Realme 3 took up 10.4% market share, followed by the base Redmi Note 7 and the Redmi Note 7 Pro phones with 10.2% market share. The company revealed that it shipped more than 500,000 smartphone units during its flash sales with more than 300,000 units within its first two sales. Also, with the introduction of the Realme 3 Pro in April, Realme could have boosted the demand for these two handsets in the online channel.

To recall, the smartphone is available in two memory variants including 3GB RAM + 32GB internal storage and 3GB RAM + 64GB internal storage. These variants are respectively priced at Rs. 8,999 and Rs. 9,999. The handset sports a 6.22-inch LCD screen with HD+ resolution and a dewdrop notch. Under the hood, it comes with an Helio P60 SoC.

In terms of camera, it has dual camera setup on the back comprising of a 13MP sensor, and a 2MP sensor. On the front, it sports a 13Mp selfie sensor. Also, it runs Android 9.0 Pie-based Color OS and comes with a 4,230mAh cell. Currently, the Realme 3 has two color options with gradient finish which are Dynamic Black and Radiant Blue.
