Razer Launched Its Gaming Smartphone Razer Phone 2: Specifications And Price

The famous gaming brand Razer just announced the launch of its new flagship called Razer Phone 2 in an attempt to establish Razer’s authority the market of gaming smartphones. The company has launched its second generation phone as a successor to the first in the series - Razer Phone which was introduced last year.

This new Razer Phone will bring some minor improvements over the previous Razer Phone and supporting wireless charging being the most notable upgrade. Other notable features of this gaming smartphone include Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset, 8GB RAM, 4,000mAh battery, Qualcomm Quick Charge 4.0+ ….

Razer is touting the dual cameras’ presence with image stabilization in the gaming smartphone. The brand introduces Razer Phone 2 with new designs, supporting wireless charging, IP67 dust, and water resistance and Razer Chroma - lighting system.
In terms of audio, this new smartphone will be well-equipped. Razer Phone 2’s logo is RGB backlit and supports RGB lighting system called Razer Chrome. The same as its predecessor, the phone will be equipped with a 120Hz display.
Price of Razer Phone 2
This new Razer Phone 2 will be sold at the price of $799.99 which is about Rs. 59,500. Customers in the USA, Asia-Pacific, and Europe can start pre-ordering from 12:01 am PST (12:31 pm IST) October 11 but Razer has not revealed the shipping date yet.
The Razer latest flagship will have two options. One option is claimed to have a “classy mirror back” with 64GB storage and the other will come with a “rugged satin finish” with 128GB storage. However, only the 64GB storage model is available while the other one’s release date is still not yet revealed.

Specifications of Razer Phone 2
Razer Phone 2 will only support 1 SIM card and its Operating System will be Android 8.1 (Oreo). This gaming smartphone features a 5.72 inch IGZO LCD 1440 x 2560 display operating at up to 120hz. Razer claims that the 120hz screen will offer a very smooth gaming experience and it will have Gorilla Glass 5 protection.
The phone will be equipped with Vapor Chamber Cooling system and 845 Snapdragon (2.8 GHz), coupled with the Adreno 630 GPU. The gaming phone will also have 8GB of system memory.
For the camera, it was one of the weaker specs of its predecessor and Razer is doing a significant step up to fix this weakness on its new gaming smartphone. At the back of the new Razer phone, it will feature a dual camera setup.
The camera has a 12MP f/1.75 wide with optical image stabilization (OIS) and 12MP f/2.6 telephoto dual-camera. It also comes with dual tone, dual Phase Detection Autofocus (PDAF) and dual-LED flash as well and users can enjoy up to 4K resolution videos in this new phone.
There will be two options that customers can choose which are 64GB and 128GB built-in storage and both can be expanded via microSD card slot (maximum of 1TB).
The phone dimensions are 158.5x78.99x8.5mm and will have IP67 water and dust resistance standards. In terms of audio, the phone will have ‘dual front-facing stereo speakers’ which feature a 24-bit USB Type-C DAC and Dolby Atmos.
