POCO is about to release its first phone this year called POCO X2 in a launch event in India on 4th February. Ahead of the official launch, the brand has already released several teasers about the handset. There has also been a massive amount of leaks and rumors around the upcoming POCO X2, one of which suggests that it could be a rebranded model of the Redmi K30 4G.
It seems like an unreliable leak at first, but it turns out the rumor could be true. A leaked poster of the POCO X2 is shared online and it shows a smartphone with an identical design to the Redmi K30, except for the POCO logo at the bottom half of the back panel. In addition, the poster also reveals the price of the phone and several key specs of it.
The poster provides us a full view of both the back and front designs of the upcoming POCO X2. On the front, it features the same pill-shaped punch-hole at the upper right corner of the display that houses a dual selfie camera setup. It is the same for the back panel. You can clearly see that it has the same quad rear cameras stacked vertically in a circular-shaped module with an LED flash placed just below it. The only difference between the two is the POCO logo at the bottom half of the rear panel.
As for the specifications, the leaked poster reveals that the POCO X2 will sport a 6.67-inch ‘RealityFlow Display’ with a 120Hz refresh rate. For photography, the device gets a 64MP main sensor in a quad-camera setup at the back. Powering the phone is tipped to be a Snapdragon 730G SoC and a 4,500 mAh battery.
Moving to the pricing, the POCO X2 could be priced at Rs. 18,999 for the variant with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. It is quite surprising considering the fact that the Redmi K30’s price for the 6GB RAM / 64GB storage was CNY 1,599 (around Rs. 16,500) in China. Therefore, this leak can be fake news and you shouldn’t trust it too much.
