On the front, the device is wrapped by a 6.53-inch IPS LCD panel that supports Full-HD+ resolution and has a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. Its display is protected by a layer of Gorilla Glass 3. It runs on Xiaomi’s MIUI 12, which is based on Android. You can stream content from OTT platforms thanks to the Widevine L1 support. Surprisingly, Xiaomi actually offers both Face Unlock feature and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor on the M3 for biometrics security. Around the back, you can see a large rectangle module, housing a triple-camera setup. It includes a 48MP primary camera, a 2MP macro camera, and a 2MP portrait camera. There is also an 8MP camera on the front if you want to take selfies or make video calls. The device supports multiple camera features like Ai scene detection, AI beautify, portrait mode, night mode, time-lapse, panorama, 1080p video shooting @ 30fps, and 120fps slow-mo video recording.
Fueling the device is a massive 6,000 mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging and reverse charging technology, which means you can use the M3 as a portable power bank, thanks to the amazingly high battery capacity. Other features of the handset include IR blaster, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, GPS, Bluetooth 5.0, dual 4G VoLTE, headphone jack, and USB-C port.
