Xiaomi might finally launch a successor to the much-liked Poco F1 that launched last year and the launch could take place in 2020. It was suggested by Head of Pocophone Global Alvin Tse on his Twitter. Responding to a user query about his brand’s future, Tse said that “you will hear more from POCO in 2020”. That doesn’t directly say that there will be a Poco F2 next year, but we have high hopes that it will happen. However, for some reason, Tse has since removed the Tweet. There are no official details about the Poco F2 at the moment, but the phone has already been mentioned in several leaks and rumors.

POCO F2: Rumored Specifications
The handset is said to feature a pop-up selfie camera and a triple camera cluster at the back, which is similar to the Redmi K20. It will likely feature a full-screen display without notch or punch-hole. While previous rumors suggest that it might be driven by a Snapdragon 845 SoC, Xiaomi might go for a Snapdragon 855 Plus chipset, considering the fact that the Poco F1 used the latest Snapdragon 845 SoC at the time of its launch. Therefore, it is highly unlikely that Xiaomi would pack the Poco F2 with an out-dated chipset and Qualcomm already released the Snapdragon 865 chipset. The brand might retain the USB-C port and the headphone jack on the Poco F1 successor.

The Poco F2 should be an affordable flagship just like its predecessor and speculated to fall in the price range of Rs. 20,000. To recall, the Poco F1 was priced at Rs. 20,999 in India at launch. It was the most affordable smartphone with the Snapdragon 845 chipset back then. In terms of camera, the Poco F1 is equipped with a dual-camera setup, including a 12MP main sensor and a 5MP depth sensor. We expect to see at is a triple camera cluster on the Poco F2 as it is common even for budget smartphones.
