POCO C3 Announced In India As POCO's Cheapest Smartphone Ever

Despite being POCO's most affordable smartphone ever, POCO C3 is still equipped with a large screen, a huge battery, and a gaming chipset.

Today (October 6), POCO - the sub-brand of Xiaomi has just launched a new low-cost smartphone in India, called POCO C3. This phone can be considered as a renamed version of the Redmi 9C as they share quite a few similarities, except for some changes in the design department and the lack of fingerprint reader.

POCO C3: Price in India & Availability

The POCO C3 price in India is Rs. 7,499 for the base 3GB RAM + 32GB storage model. Meanwhile, the more advanced version with 4GB RAM + 64GB storage has a retail price of Rs 8.999.

The handset will go on sales from October 16th via Flipkart in three color options, including Arctic Blue, Lime Green, and Matte Black.

POCO C3: Specifications & Features

The device has a body made of polycarbonate and features a water-resistant P2i nano-coating. It is equipped with a 6.53-inch IPS LCD display, HD+ (720 x 1600 pixels) resolution, and a tall 20:9 aspect ratio.

Moving to the back, the POCO C3 carries a triple-camera system in a rectangular module along with an LED flash. The rear camera cluster includes a 13MP main sensor, a 2MP macro camera, and a 2MP depth sensor. In addition, it also has a 5MP camera placed in the front water-drop notch for selfies and video calling.

The phone is powered by MediaTek's Helio G35 gaming processor, combined with 3GB / 4GB LPDDR4x RAM and 32GB / 64GB of internal memory, expandable by microSD card. It comes with a 5,000mAh battery but only supports 10W charging.

The entry-level phone is pre-installed with Android 10-based MIUI 12 interface and POCO Launcher. It supports 2 SIMs, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, a micro-USB port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
